Amazon Adds to their Westside Facility in Tucson

Amazon recently added a third parcel of 1.3 acres, paying $9.00/sf, to their Westside land assemblage located just west and adjacent to the I-10 and I-19 (Interstate to Nogales) interchange. In Tucson, AZ  The seller was represented by Walter Unger, CCIM, Kasten Long Commercial Group in Phoenix. The total assemblage is now 10.16 acres.  This property will be used for a 59,000 sf single-level warehouse and will be a compliment to the 855,000 sf distribution warehouse currently under construction at the Port of Tucson, just south of David-Monthan Air Force Base.   The Westside facility will be used for sorting packages from larger warehouses and transfers to smaller delivery vehicles.  The additional acreage of 1.3 acres will be used for parking and a fueling  station for the contract drivers.

The first two parcels were acquired last year.  The larger of the two previously acquired parcels consisted of $5.77 acres for $3.75/sf with the seller represented by Walter Unger, CCIM, Kasten Long Commercial Group in Phoenix.  The other previously acquired parcel consisted of 3.09 acres for $3.10/sf with Mike Hennessy from Burris Hennessy & Co representing the seller.  For each transaction, the buyer was represented by Steve Cohen & Russ Hall, Cushman Wakefield in Tucson.
